Binary-trans, non-binary and gender-questioning adolescents' experiences in UK schools

Summary: An increasing number of adolescents in the UK are facing discrimination and uninclusive environments in schools due to their gender diversity. This article examines the school experiences and strategies used by gender-diverse adolescents, including binary-trans, non-binary, and gender-questioning individuals. Findings suggest that the British school system is unsuitable for non-binary and gender-questioning identities, as these adolescents experience discrimination from the curriculum, peers, and teachers.
