Who's fighting for justice?: advocacy in energy justice and just transition scholarship

Summary: Recent political, economic and policy changes in the US, Australia, and Europe have brought low-carbon energy transitions to the forefront of local and national policy agendas. This study examines the politics of achieving just outcomes in energy transitions and finds that advocates from diverse communities and organizations are involved in advocacy, often using extra-institutional tactics. Environmental degradation and decision-making processes are common motivations for advocacy.
