High-performance photodetector based on an interface engineering-assisted graphene/silicon Schottky junction

Peirui Ji et al.

Summary: This paper presents a novel solution to improve the performance of graphene/silicon Schottky photodetectors by introducing a thin layer of gadolinium iron garnet (GdIG) film. The engineered interface shows a significant decrease in dark current and exhibits high performance in weak-light detection. The device also demonstrates broadband absorption, large linear response, fast operation speed, and long-term stability.
