PROBLEMS OF COGNITIVE STRATEGIES AND EMOTIONAL REGULATION OF TEACHERS IN MODERN EDUCATION

Rashid Jabbarov et al.

Summary: This article examines the manifestations of cognitive strategies and emotional regulation among teachers. The study involves 64 teachers with different academic backgrounds and teaching at different faculties. The findings suggest that age plays a role in shaping cognitive strategies and emotional self-regulation of teachers. Cognitive strategies and expressive suppression of emotions are associated with different qualities of teachers. Adequate self-regulation of emotion is more significantly related to cognitive strategy than expressive suppression. The study also reveals correlations between cognitive reappraisal and personality traits, as well as emotional intelligence and resilience among teachers.

Role of social networks in building household livelihood resilience under payments for ecosystem services programs in a poor rural community in China

Ying Wang et al.

Summary: This paper explores the impacts of PES programs on a traditionally poverty-stricken area in China, finding that social networks play a crucial role in building household resilience, although their influence diminishes over time with rural-to-urban migration. Additionally, policymakers should focus not only on environmental conservation, but also on socio-cultural preservation to strengthen the identity, structure, and function within SESs for rural development in China.

Assessing social-ecological vulnerability of coastal systems to fishing and tourism

Natali Lazzari et al.

Summary: This study operationalized the SEV framework to assess the social-ecological implications of fishing and tourism in temperate coastal systems, highlighting the need for distinctive management intervention due to different dimensions contributing differently to the SEV. Livelihood diversification and marine areas protection are plausible strategies to build resilience in temperate coastal systems facing fishing and tourism pressures.
