Summary: This study used a multi-criteria decision analysis to assess the sustainability of 10 nuts and seeds, finding that walnuts and sunflower seeds performed the best while cashews performed poorly. Increasing consumption of more sustainable nuts can improve the overall environmental, nutritional, and social impacts of nut production and consumption.

The effects of fish meal substitution by clam meal on the growth and health of Florida pompano (Trachinotus carolinus)

Summary: The effects of clam meal substitution on the growth, feed utilization, antioxidants, plasma parameters, fatty acids and amino acids composition, and gut microbiome of juvenile Florida pompano were evaluated. The results showed that moderate addition of clam meal had a significant impact on weight gain and feed intake, but no significant effect on fatty acids composition and microbial diversity.

Genetic distance showed the highest correlation with key trait expressions, but none of the proxies correlated with all inter-populational divergences in key traits.
