Optimization driven cellular automata for traffic flow prediction at signalized intersections

Shuang You et al.

Summary: Utilizing cellular automata (CA) for traffic flow prediction has shown potential in modeling traffic flow characteristics. A modified CA model is proposed in this study for traffic flow prediction at signalised intersections, integrating a self-organizing traffic signal system. Sunflower Cat Optimization (SCO) algorithm is used for efficient prediction, outperforming other methods with minimal travel time, distance, average traffic density, and maximal average speed.

Revisiting the interactions between bus service quality, car ownership and mode use: A case study in Changzhou, China

Di Yao et al.

Summary: The study found that high-quality bus service can reduce car use, but the negative impact of bus service quality on car use is less than the positive impact of car ownership. Therefore, when car ownership is rapidly increasing, only comprehensive and substantial improvement in bus service can alleviate urban traffic pressure.

An Intelligent Terminal Based Privacy-Preserving Multi-Modal Implicit Authentication Protocol for Internet of Connected Vehicles

Fushan Wei et al.

Summary: The security of the intelligent terminal in IOV is crucial, hence two privacy-preserving multi-modal implicit authentication protocols are proposed. These protocols protect the security of the intelligent terminal using password and behavior features, while also considering the privacy of the user's behavior features. Analysis shows that the proposed protocols offer better security and efficiency compared to other related protocols.
