Summary: This study examined the association between the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) dietary pattern and incident heart failure (HF) risk in lower income and Black individuals. The results showed that income modified the association between DASH diet adherence and HF risk, with no association observed between DASH diet adherence and lower HF risk in lower income participants.

Association of Adherence to the Mediterranean Diet with All-Cause Mortality in Subjects with Heart Failure

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between adherence to the Mediterranean diet and all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in heart failure patients. The findings suggest that adherence to the Mediterranean diet is not associated with a lower risk of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. A lower intake of red/processed meat was found to be associated with a higher risk of mortality, which requires further investigation.
