Active Disturbance Rejection Control of Euler-Lagrange Systems Exploiting Internal Damping

Chao Ren et al.

Summary: Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) is an efficient control technique that can accommodate both internal uncertainties and external disturbances. This article proposes a new ADRC framework that incorporates the physical structure of the system and discusses the exploitation of the system's internal damping. Experimental tests are conducted to verify the proposed design.

Adaptive Sliding Mode Disturbance Observer Based Robust Control for Robot Manipulators Towards Assembly Assistance

Rui-Dong Xi et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a robust adaptive sliding mode controller to address the challenges of parameter uncertainties and fluctuated disturbances in the smooth and precise control of robot manipulators in industrial environments. The adaptive technique integrated with radial basis function neural networks is used to handle modeling uncertainties caused by parameter variation. A new sliding mode disturbance observer and variable structure scheme are adopted to compensate for interference and suppress the chattering phenomenon. Experimental results demonstrate the robustness, stability, and superior tracking performance of the proposed approach in robot assembly and other applications.

A Disturbance Observer-Based Current-Constrained Controller for Speed Regulation of PMSM Systems Subject to Unmatched Disturbances

Chen Dai et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the speed regulation problem of permanent magnet synchronous motor system under a noncascade structure. A novel current-constrained control algorithm is proposed to tackle both the current constraint and unmatched disturbances simultaneously. Numerical and experimental tests validate that the proposed control approach achieves promising speed tracking performance and guarantees the current constraint in the presence of unmatched disturbances.

Underactuated Motion Planning and Control for Jumping With Wheeled-Bipedal Robots

Hua Chen et al.

Summary: This study focuses on jumping for wheeled-bipedal robots, developing a comprehensive hierarchical scheme for motion planning and control. The underactuation of wheeled-bipedal dynamics is addressed through a novel W-SLIP model and quadratic programming approach, allowing for accurate tracking of planned trajectories. The overall planning and control scheme is validated through V-REP simulations of a prototype wheeled-bipedal robot.
