It Just Took Something From Me: A Mixed-Methods Examination of Intimate Partner Violence Victimization and Perpetration Among US Indigenous Peoples

Summary: Indigenous peoples in the United States experience disproportionate rates of intimate partner violence (IPV). Risk factors for IPV victimization and perpetration include historical oppression, adverse childhood experiences, alcohol and other drug abuse, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, young age, and female gender. Preventing exposure to violence and substance abuse, implementing family-focused and culturally grounded interventions are recommended to address IPV among Indigenous populations.

Child maltreatment reports and Child Protection Service responses during COVID-19: Knowledge exchange among Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Germany, Israel, and South Africa

Despite increased risk factors for children, there was a temporary decrease in child maltreatment reports in most countries. The study highlights deficits in CPS responses to the pandemic, indicating that children were at greater risk for maltreatment during this time.

The Cedar Project: exploring the role of colonial harms and childhood maltreatment on HIV and hepatitis C infection in a cohort study involving young Indigenous people who use drugs in two Canadian cities

Conflict violence reduction and pregnancy outcomes: A regression discontinuity design in Colombia
