The longitudinal relationship of school climate with adolescent social and emotional health

Summary: The study found that school climate, particularly an authoritative school environment, is strongly associated with better social-emotional health among adolescents. Students who reported being in authoritative school environments in 10th grade had higher levels of self-efficacy and grit in 11th grade, as well as fewer depressive symptoms, hopelessness, and stress.
