Values-Alignment Messaging Boosts Adolescents' Motivation to Control Social Media Use

Brian M. Galla et al.

Summary: Two preregistered experiments with 2,733 U.S. high school students investigated the impact of different messages on adolescents' motivation to control social media use. A values-alignment message was found to be more effective in motivating adolescents, especially girls, to regulate their social media use by appealing to their drives for autonomy and social justice.

Revived call for consensus in the future of psychotherapy

Averi N. Gaines et al.
