Dissolved free, total and particulate enantiomeric amino acid levels in eutrophic and oligotrophic parts of a semi-enclosed bay (Izmir, Aegean Sea)

Hakan Alyuruk et al.

Summary: The study found that levels of amino acids in the middle-inner parts of Izmir Bay were higher than in the outer part, and the processes of production and degradation of amino acids were balanced in different seasons. Meanwhile, a seasonally constant fresh production was observed in the oligotrophic outer bay.
