On discrete quasi-overlap functions

Junsheng Qiao

Summary: This paper discusses the generalization of overlap functions, a class of bivariate aggregation operators widely used in various application problems, to forms such as quasi-overlap functions. It also explores the significance of considering aggregation operators on finite chains, especially the commonly used bivariate aggregation operators.

On interval-valued pre-(quasi-)overlap functions

Yuntian Wang et al.

Summary: In this work, we introduce the concept of interval-valued R-(quasi-)overlap functions and replace increasingness with interval directional increasingness. We analyze the properties of such functions and their relationship with related r-(quasi-)overlap functions. Additionally, we present methods for constructing interval-valued pre-(quasi-)overlap functions from specific binary interval-valued functions, interval multiplicative generator pairs, and interval-valued 0;1-aggregation functions. In the second part, we argue that interval multiplicative generator pairs and additive ones can be converted to each other.

Fuzzy Measures and Choquet Integrals Based on Fuzzy Covering Rough Sets

Xiaohong Zhang et al.

Summary: This article proposes a novel method for multi-criteria decision-making based on fuzzy covering rough sets, utilizing nonadditive measures and nonlinear integrals. By introducing fuzzy measures and Choquet integrals, the problem of aggregation function selection and attribute reduction in MCDM is addressed.

Regular Partial Residuated Lattices and Their Filters

Nan Sheng et al.

Summary: This paper mainly studies the algebraic structure of fuzzy partial logic, including regular partial t-norms, regular partial residuated implications, and regular partial residuated lattices, etc. The relations among them are also investigated, and special regular partial residuated lattices are proposed for constructing the quotient structure of regular partial residuated lattices.

Pseudo General Overlap Functions and Weak Inflationary Pseudo BL-Algebras

Rong Liang et al.

Summary: This article investigates general overlap functions and their applications in classification problems. It introduces the concept of pseudo general overlap functions as a non-commutative generalization, explores their relationship with other aggregation functions, and characterizes some construction methods. The article also discusses the residuated implications induced by inflationary pseudo general overlap functions and presents the definitions of inflationary pseudo general residuated lattices (IPGRLs) and weak inflationary pseudo BL-algebras. Furthermore, it examines the properties of these algebraic structures and their relations with other structures, such as non-commutative residuated lattice-ordered groupoids.

Three-Way Fuzzy Sets and Their Applications (II)

Jingqian Wang et al.

Summary: This paper presents rough set models based on three-way fuzzy sets, extending the existing fuzzy rough set models and applying them to multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). By introducing the three-way fuzzy relation rough set and three-way fuzzy covering rough set models for both complete and incomplete information systems, the issue of MCDM is addressed under these new models.

A Novel Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Method Based on Rough Sets and Fuzzy Measures

Jingqian Wang et al.

Summary: Rough set theory is a useful tool for data analysis, data mining, and decision-making. This paper proposes a novel method for multi-criteria decision making based on rough sets and a fuzzy measure. The method utilizes attribute measures and matching degrees to construct a Choquet integral, providing a solution to the problem of different reduction methods affecting decision results. A numerical example is used to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Interval-Valued Pseudo Overlap Functions and Application

Rong Liang et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a class of interval-valued OWA operators constructed from interval-valued overlap functions and interval-valued weights, which are used to solve multi-attribute decision making problems considering interval numbers as attribute values. The notion of interval-valued pseudo overlap functions and their properties are presented, along with the definitions and equivalent forms of residuated implications induced by them. The results show that interval-valued pseudo overlap functions are flexible, simple, and widely used in multi-attribute decision making.

Inflationary BL-algebras obtained from 2-dimensional general overlap functions

Rui Paiva et al.

Summary: In this paper, a further generalization of BL-algebras without requiring associativity is proposed, based on a subclass of bivariate general overlap functions called inflationary. The differences between non-associative BL-algebras and the more specific class of inflationary BL-algebras are discussed, with a pictorial representation provided to summarize the relationship. Additionally, properties related to these algebras are proven, as well as a version of the Chinese Remainder Theorem under certain restrictions. The concepts of pseudo-automorphisms, automorphisms, and their effects on general overlap functions are utilized to obtain conjugated inflationary BL-algebras and to derive naBL-algebras from inflationary BL-algebras through automorphisms.

Overlap and grouping functions on complete lattices

Junsheng Qiao

Summary: In this paper, the concepts of lattice-valued overlap and quasi-overlap functions introduced by Paiva et al. are further studied on complete lattices to extend the continuity of these operators. The study includes the introduction of overlap functions, construction methods, basic properties, (Λ, V) combination, migrativity, and homogeneity extension on complete lattices, and the discussion of cancelling properties. Additionally, similar discussions are provided for grouping functions on complete lattices.
