Production of axion-like particles via vector boson fusion at future electron-positron colliders

Chong-Xing Yue et al.

Summary: Investigation of the possibility of detecting axion-like particles (ALPs) through the W+W- fusion process at the CLIC is conducted, and the bounds on the ALP parameter space at different energy stages are obtained, complementing the exclusion regions of existing experiments.

Heavy neutrinos at future linear e+e- colliders

Krzysztof Mekala et al.

Summary: Neutrinos are mysterious particles that have been extensively studied for their properties and characteristics. This study focuses on the possibility of observing decays of heavy Dirac and Majorana neutrinos in future lepton colliders and presents limits on the production cross sections in terms of the neutrino-lepton coupling parameter. The results show that these limits are stricter than any other published estimates so far.

The see-saw portal at future Higgs factories: the role of dimension six operators

Daniele Barducci et al.

Summary: We study an extension of the Standard Model with right-handed singlet fermions N that induce neutrino masses, plus a generic new physics sector at a higher energy scale Lambda. We investigate the phenomenology of this model, considering effective operators up to d = 6 and identifying additional production and decay modes for N. We evaluate the sensitivity of future Higgs factories on the nu SMEFT in regions of the parameter space where the new states have different decay properties. Our results show that new physics scales up to 5-60 TeV can be probed, depending on the specific collider.

Lepton collider probes for Majorana neutrino effective interactions

Gabriel Zapata et al.

Summary: The extension of the standard model with new high-scale weakly coupled physics involving right-handed neutrinos allows for a systematic study of heavy neutrinos phenomenology. The sensitivity of forward-backward asymmetries in future lepton colliders is explored to discover the single production of heavy Majorana neutrinos. The findings provide important insights for effective couplings and new physics scale.

Monojet search for heavy neutrinos at future Z-factories

Yin-Fa Shen et al.

Summary: The study investigates the search for neutrinos in the 3-15 GeV range at future Z-factories. The signals of heavy neutrinos appear as monojet events due to their large Lorentz boost, and their substructures are crucial for signal reconstruction and background suppression. This monojet method at future Z-factories shows promise in filling the gap in this mass range that is not covered by current experiments.

Feebly-interacting particles: FIPs 2020 workshop report

P. Agrawal et al.

Summary: With the establishment and maturation of experimental programs focusing on new physics at the LHC, there is a growing interest in exploring the physics of light and feebly-interacting particles as complementary to New Physics at the TeV scale and beyond. FIPs 2020, the first workshop dedicated to this field, brought together experts from various experiments and astrophysics communities to discuss experimental progress and theory models, aiming to enhance collaboration across different fields.

Hunt for rare processes and long-lived particles at FCC-ee

Marcin Chrzaszcz et al.

Summary: This essay discusses the possibilities and challenges of beyond the Standard Model searches at FCC-ee, focusing on rare decays and long-lived particles. FCC-ee has unique capabilities to explore these scientific questions and overcome detector design challenges. The discovery of such phenomena could have a critical impact on High Energy Physics, motivating out-of-the-box optimization of experimental conditions for innovative solutions.

Collider searches for scalar singlets across lifetimes

Elina Fuchs et al.

Summary: This article investigates the role of Spin-0 singlets in extensions of the Standard Model and their impact on search strategies at hadron and lepton colliders. By exploring constraints from Higgs decays into a pair of singlets and various features, we compare the generic scalar singlet and the relaxion, deriving qualitative differences between them and discussing their natural parameter space and corresponding search methods.

The low-energy effective theory of axions and ALPs

Martin Bauer et al.

Summary: This article discusses axions and axion-like particles (ALPs) as low-energy relics of high-energy extensions of the Standard Model, suppressed by higher-dimensional operators at the mass scale Λ in the new-physics sector. It explores the evolution of ALP couplings, the construction of effective Lagrangians, and the relationships between different equivalent forms in detail.

HECATE A long-lived particle detector concept for the FCC-ee or CEPC

Marcin Chrzaszcz et al.

Summary: The next generation of circular high energy collider is expected to be a lepton collider, with civil engineering concepts predicting the possibility to equip them with larger detector caverns for potential future hadron colliders without further construction work. This could enhance the sensitivity for long-lived particles detection, as demonstrated with the example of heavy neutral leptons.

Direct discovery of new light states at the FCCee

Simon Knapen et al.

Summary: FCCee provides an excellent opportunity to investigate new particles with masses between 1 and 100 GeV and their electroweak couplings, addressing fundamental outstanding questions within the standard model. It is essential to embed light new states within a larger theoretical framework, highlighting the complementarity between the precision frontier at FCCee and the high energy frontier of the FCChh program.
