Are We Approaching Peak Meat Consumption? Analysis of Meat Consumption from 2000 to 2019 in 35 Countries and Its Relationship to Gross Domestic Product

Clare Whitton et al.

Summary: The study found that while some countries have reached peak meat consumption, many emerging economies are still increasing consumption due to greater affordability. Association between dietary patterns and prediabetes, undetected diabetes or clinically diagnosed diabetes: results from the KORA FF4 study

Giulia Pestoni et al.

Summary: In this study, two dietary patterns (Prudent and Western) were identified and it was found that participants following the Western pattern had a higher likelihood of prediabetes, undetected diabetes, and prevalent diabetes compared to those following the Prudent pattern. These results underline the important role of dietary habits in the prevention of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes.
