Summary: This study evaluated the acceptability, feasibility, and initial efficacy of a low-touch, remotely-delivered education intervention to promote adherence to oral anti-cancer treatments for breast cancer survivors. The intervention showed good feasibility and acceptability and had a positive impact on medication adherence. Further research is needed to improve and sustain this intervention.

Advancing behavioral interventions for African American/Black and Latino persons living with HIV using a new conceptual model that integrates critical race theory, harm reduction, and self-determination theory: a qualitative exploratory study

Summary: This study aims to address racial disparities among HIV patients by proposing a new conceptual model combining critical race theory, harm reduction, and self-determination theory. Through qualitative interviews, the study found that participants highly accepted the research and recognized its contribution in understanding their holistic personhood and structural/systemic context. The findings suggest that the new conceptual model has the potential to enhance the acceptability, feasibility, and effectiveness of interventions.

This study focused on patterns of polysubstance use among African American/Black and Latino adult PLWH from low socioeconomic backgrounds in NYC. Findings revealed three substance use classes, with mental health distress prevalent across all classes and homelessness more common in certain classes.
