Atomic step formation on porous ZnO nanobelts: remarkable promotion of acetone gas detection up to the parts per trillion level

Kyusung Kim et al.

Summary: By decorating ZnO nanobelts with atomic step structures, the gas sensing performance can be improved to detect acetone at the ppt level. The atomic step edges promote electron transfer and restrict gas diffusion on the flat surface to achieve sensitivity.

Flower-like Hydroxyfluoride-Sensing Platform toward NO2 Detection

Xingyu Yao et al.

Summary: In this study, zinc hydroxyfluoride (ZnOHF) was used for efficient NO2 gas detection for the first time. The prepared ZnOHF exhibited high response, short response/recovery time, and excellent selectivity, outperforming ZnO raw material. ZnOHF showed promising practical application prospects with a wide detection window.
