First characterization of seagrasses at Samara Bay, Pacific coast of Costa Rica

Summary: This study provides the first characterization of seagrasses at Samara Bay, Costa Rica, including measurements of biomass, density, leaf area, stable isotope composition, and sediment characteristics. Two seagrass species were found, and seagrass biomass and density were higher during the dry season. Further studies are recommended to understand the temporal and spatial variability of seagrasses in this area.

Herbivory Has a Major Influence on Structure and Condition of a Great Barrier Reef Subtropical Seagrass Meadow
