Insight into the relationship between unsteady Cattaneo-Christov double diffusion, random motion and thermo-migration of tiny particles

Iftikhar Ahmad et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of unsteady Cattaneo-Christov double diffusion, random motion, and thermomigration of tiny particles on thermal storage and heat exchangers. It is found that thermal relaxation dependent on heat flux maximizes the temperature gradient, while thermal relaxation dependent on mass flux minimizes the concentration gradient. The choice of random motion provides a constant temperature gradient, while increasing thermomigration of tiny particles enhances the concentration gradient. Furthermore, the unsteady factor reduces the temperature and concentration distributions and condenses the boundary layer thicknesses.

Numerical investigation for mixed convective 3D radiative flow of chemically reactive Williamson nanofluid with power law heat/mass fluxes

Iftikhar Ahmad et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat/mass transfer mechanism for higher order mixed convective flow of Williamson nanofluid over a nonlinear bidirectional elongating surface. The combined influence of chemical reaction, nonlinear radiation, and hydro-magnetic environment on the flow pattern is also considered. The analysis shows the effects of various parameters on temperature and concentration variations, as well as heat/mass transfer rates.

Effect of thermal radiation on conjugate natural convection flow of a micropolar fluid along a vertical surface

Sadia Siddiqa et al.

Summary: This study investigates the behavior of conjugate natural convection over a finite vertical surface immersed in a micropolar fluid in the presence of intense thermal radiation. The results show that skin friction coefficient and couple stress coefficient reduces whereas heat transfer rate enhances when the micro-inertia parameter increases. All the physical quantities get augmented with thermal radiation.

Investigation of mixture fluid suspended by hybrid nanoparticles over vertical cylinder by considering shape factor effect

Kh. Hosseinzadeh et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow of a mixture of water and ethylene glycol with hybrid nanoparticles over a vertical stretching cylinder, considering the effects of magnetic field, thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, and natural convection. Novelty lies in the exploration of different shape factors and their impact on dimensionless velocity and temperature profiles for single and hybrid nanofluids. Results show significant differences in velocity and temperature profiles based on nanoparticle shape and external parameters such as magnetic field and radiation.

Effect of nanoparticle shape on unsteady liquid film flow of MHD Oldroyd-B ferrofluid

Iskander Tlili et al.

Summary: A computational framework was used to study the drive and thermal transport of unstable MHD Oldroyd-B ferrofluid flow with CoFe2O4 nanoparticles in water. Results showed that spherical ferrous particles have higher energy transport efficiency compared to tube and laminar shaped particles, and the Nusselt number can be regulated by the Deborah number and unsteadiness parameter.

Kh. Hosseinzadeh et al.

Summary: The study shows that Nuave is directly proportional to Rayleigh and nanoparticle shape factor, while inversely related to Hartmann and porosity. The results indicate that the shape factor parameter significantly affects heat transfer performance, contributing 55.44% to the average Nusselt number.

Summary: The study investigated the hydrothermal behavior of a hybrid nanofluid with MoS2-TiO2 hybrid nanoparticles in a cavity enclosure, showing that an increase in Rayleigh number from 10 to 100 led to a 61.82% improvement in average Nusselt number. Results indicate that the Rayleigh number has the most significant contribution to the achieved equation, accounting for approximately 61.88%.

Lubrication effects on the peristaltic motion of a couple stress fluid in an asymmetric channel

W. Mahmood et al.

Summary: The article discusses the theoretical analysis of peristaltic transport of a couple stress fluid with lubrication on channel walls, examining the effects of lubricant parameter and couple stress parameter on pressure rise and fluid behavior. Numerical solutions show that increasing lubrication effects result in higher pressure rise in the pumping region.

Buoyancy driven second grade nano boundary layers over a catalytic surface with reaction rate, heat of reaction and activation energy at boundary

N. Vishnu Ganesh et al.

Summary: This article explores the characteristics of catalytic surface reactions on free convection non-Newtonian nanofluid boundary layers driven by buoyancy force. The exothermic reactions significantly raise the temperature and concentration profiles, with a slight enhancement in the velocity profile. Both activation energy and reaction rate constant play a significant role in the temperature and concentration profiles of the nanofluid.

Entropy generation of three-dimensional Bodewadt flow of water and hexanol base fluid suspended by Fe3O4 and MoS2 hybrid nanoparticles

Kh Hosseinzadeh et al.

Summary: The study reveals that entropy generation increases with the Eckert number, but decreases with a growth in nanoparticle volume fraction and shape factor. Furthermore, hexanol has higher irreversibility rate, Bejan number, and Nusselt number compared to water. The nanoparticle volume fraction has the most significant impact on the skin friction coefficient.

Saman Hosseinzadeh et al.

Summary: This study introduced several potent analytical methods used in the past decade to solve nonlinear differential equations and demonstrated the application of the Akbari-Ganji method in solving mechanical oscillator movement problems. The sensitivity analysis showed that the mass has the highest sensitivity on oscillation frequency, and increasing alpha and beta will lead to an increase in the system velocity and acceleration slope.
