Vaccinomics to Design a Multi-Epitopes Vaccine for Acinetobacter baumannii

Miraj Ud-Din et al.

Summary: Antibiotic resistance is a growing global concern, and Acinetobacter baumannii is a multidrug resistant bacteria causing severe infections. This study identified potential vaccine antigens from the genome of A. baumannii and designed a multi-epitopes vaccine construct to induce protective immune responses.

Computer-Aided Multi-Epitope Vaccine Design against Enterobacter xiangfangensis

Abdulrahman Alshammari et al.

Summary: This study designed a chimeric vaccine using bioinformatic approaches to address antibiotic resistance in Enterobacter xiangfangensis. The results showed that the vaccine can properly bind with immune cell receptors and has stable binding dynamics. These findings contribute to the development of a vaccine against E. xiangfangensis.

Pan-vaccinomics approach towards a universal vaccine candidate against WHO priority pathogens to address growing global antibiotic resistance

Saba Ismail et al.

Summary: The study identified a potential universal vaccine candidate against 18 multi-drug resistance bacterial pathogens using in-silico approaches. Nine B-cell-derived T-cell antigen epitopes with affinity to the dominant HLA allele (DRB1*0101) were screened, and a multi-epitope peptide vaccine construct (MEPVC) with beta-defensin adjuvant was designed. Molecular docking and MD simulation were conducted to investigate the binding affinity and molecular interaction of MEPVC with human immune receptors. The in-silico construct is expected to be useful in assessing its immune protection effectiveness against rising antibiotic resistance worldwide.

Development of a Novel Multi-Epitope Vaccine Against Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus: An Integrated Reverse Vaccinology, Vaccine Informatics and Biophysics Approach

Muhammad Tahir Ul Qamar et al.

Summary: Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a severe viral disease with high mortality caused by CCHFV. A study proposed a multi-epitope vaccine (MEV) that covers 99.74% of the world population, showing high antigenic potential and no toxicity. The vaccine exhibited excellent binding affinity with immune receptors TLR2 and TLR3, suggesting potential for specific immune responses.
