Whole-Ovary Laparoscopic Incisions Improve Hormonal Response and Fertility in Patients with Extremely Poor Ovarian Response

Chia Lin Chang et al.

Summary: A study found that a surgical procedure called whole-ovary laparoscopic incision (WOLI) could restore ovarian function and promote follicle growth in patients with extremely poor ovarian response. After the procedure, most patients showed improved hormonal responses, and some achieved successful pregnancies.

Case report: Birth achieved after effective ovarian stimulation combined with dexamethasone in a patient with resistant ovary syndrome

Summary: This is the first report of successful treatment of ROS using ovarian stimulation combined with dexamethasone. High doses of exogenous gonadotropins in combination with immunosuppressive therapy could be an effective approach in some cases of ROS.

The live birth in a woman with resistant ovary syndrome after in vitro oocyte maturation and preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy

Nikolay Valerievich Kornilov et al.

Summary: The study reports a successful pregnancy and live birth achieved through IVM and PGT-A in a patient with ovarian gonadotropin resistance, without the need for gonadotropin stimulation and HCG trigger. This approach seems valuable in patients with ROS, allowing for the generation of embryos from oocytes obtained with IVM.

Letrozole for Female Infertility

Ai-Min Yang et al.

Summary: Letrozole, as an aromatase inhibitor, has been widely used in infertility treatments, with its efficacy and safety confirmed by accumulating clinical and basic evidence. This review focuses on the current knowledge of the applications and mechanisms of letrozole in female infertility, and raises various questions on how it could be used more effectively.

A Novel Mutation in the FSH Receptor (I423T) Affecting Receptor Activation and Leading to Primary Ovarian Failure

Teresa Zarinan et al.

Summary: A novel missense mutation (I423T) in the FSHR second transmembrane domain was identified in a woman with primary ovarian failure, leading to impaired receptor expression and signaling. Meanwhile, the D408Y mutation severely affected membrane expression and signal transduction. Molecular dynamics simulations showed important disruptions in both mutant FSHRs, explaining the differences in expression levels, signaling, and phenotypic expression between I423T and D408Y mutant FSHRs.
