This paper proposes a new method based on game theory to form microgrid coalitions, which considers both power losses and service charge in the bidding strategy and utility calculation. The method models service charge as a function of exchanged power and transmission distance, and each microgrid offers a different price considering power losses and service charge. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated and compared with the previous method in three multi-microgrid systems, demonstrating its superiority.
Future distribution networks may consist of several microgrids. In this paper, a new method is proposed based on the game theory to form the microgrids coalitions. Compared to the previous methods, the proposed method takes into account both power losses and service charge in the bidding strategy of microgrids and calculation of their utility. In addition, service charge is modeled as a function of exchanged power and the distance of power transmission, and each seller/buyer microgrid offers a different price to each buyer/seller microgrid considering power losses and service charge. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, three multi-microgrid systems are studied, and the performance of the proposed method is compared with the previous method. The results confirm the superiority of the proposed method. (C) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
