Hall and ion slip impacts on unsteady MHD convective rotating flow of heat generating/absorbing second grade fluid

M. Veera Krishna et al.

Summary: Through theoretical exploration, it was found that an increase in Hall and ion slip parameters leads to an increase in velocity throughout the fluid region, with thermal and solutal buoyancy forces contributing to velocity rising to high levels. The temperature decreases with an increase in the heat source parameter, while concentration decreases with an increase in the chemical reaction parameter. The rotation parameter reduces skin friction, whereas Hall and ion slip effects increase it, and an increase in the chemical reaction parameter results in an increased rate of mass transfer.

Radiation-absorption, chemical reaction, Hall and ion slip impacts on magnetohydrodynamic free convective flow over semi-infinite moving absorbent surface

M. Veera Krishna

Summary: This study investigates the impacts of radiation-absorption, chemical reaction, Hall and ion-slip effects on unsteady MHD free convective laminar flow within a rotating frame. Analytical solutions for velocity, temperature, and concentration distributions are obtained, showing that the velocity decreases with certain parameters, while the temperature and concentration are influenced by different parameters.

Hall and ion slip effects on magnetohydrodynamic convective rotating flow of Jeffreys fluid over an impulsively moving vertical plate embedded in a saturated porous medium with Ramped wall temperature

M. Veera Krishna et al.

Summary: "The theoretical study investigates the effects of Hall and ion slip on the unsteady MHD rotating flow of a Jeffreys fluid over a vertically moving plate in a porous medium with a ramped temperature profile. Results show that the velocity increases with Hall and ion slip parameters, while magnetic field, Jeffreys fluid, and Prandtl number have a reverse effect. Thermal buoyancy forces, radiation, and mass diffusion also influence the velocity and concentration distributions. Nusselt number decreases with thermal radiation but increases over time, while Sherwood number increases with Schmidt number at the plate but decreases over time."

Numerical investigation on unsteady MHD convective rotating flow past an infinite vertical moving porous surface

M. Veera Krishna et al.

Summary: The study investigates the effects of thermal radiation and rotation on unsteady MHD convective flow past an infinite vertical moving absorbent plate, using similarity transformations and cubic B-splines collocation method for computation. Results show that the velocity increases with an increase in rotation parameter, thermal and solutal buoyancy forces; a reversal performance is observed with an increase in slip parameter; and an enlargement in radiation parameter leads to rise in fluid speed and temperature profiles.

Radiation absorption on MHD convective flow of nanofluids through vertically travelling absorbent plate

M. Veera Krishna et al.

Summary: This study investigates the unsteady MHD boundary layer flow over a moving vertical porous surface with nanofluids, considering a uniform transverse magnetic field and heat radiation absorption effects. By solving the governing equations using the Laplace transform method, the velocity and temperature distributions are analyzed for different nanofluid compositions. Results show that an increase in volume fraction of nanoparticles leads to higher temperatures on the central line of the flow, with implications for aerospace engineering and industrial applications.
