In-situ reactive synthesis porous two-scale lamellar Ti3SiC2 intermetallic compound

Wenbo Du et al.

Summary: Ordered lamellar porous Ti3SiC2 has been successfully prepared through freeze casting, showing advantages of high-temperature corrosion resistance and high flux structure. The effect of process parameters on the sample structure has been studied, and in-situ liquid-solid reaction has been applied to obtain high purity porous Ti3SiC2. A high purity directional porous Ti3SiC2 with two-scale lamellar structure has been obtained.

Chitooligosaccharide-europium (III) functional micron complex with visualized inflammation monitoring, immunomodulation and pro-vascularization activities for effective wound healing of pressure ulcers injury

Xiuhong Huang et al.

Summary: This study proposes a method using a complex of chitooligosaccharides and europium ions to monitor wound healing, modulate inflammation, and promote vascularization in pressure ulcer injuries. The complex not only monitors wound healing through fluorescence changes, but also demonstrates anti-inflammatory activity and promotes vascularization. The simple construction enables visual monitoring and multi-stage adaptive wound repair.

Osteon circularity and longitudinal morphology: Quantitative and qualitative three-dimensional perspectives on human Haversian systems

Isabel S. Maggiano et al.

Summary: This study investigates the variability of osteon circularity in bone microstructure, finding differences in On.Cr. between individuals and significant dispersion along the length of the same osteon. The findings suggest a patterned deviation from circularity and emphasize the role of Haversian systems as integrated parts of a greater morphological complex.
