Environmental and economic analysis of bioethanol production from sugarcane molasses and agave juice

Maria Magdalena Parascanu et al.

Summary: This article compares sugarcane molasses and agave juice as feedstocks for bioethanol production in Mexico in terms of environmental impact and economic factors. Life cycle assessment and economic analysis were conducted, showing that bioethanol production from agave juice has more environmental benefits and can be economically feasible with partial replacement of grid energy with renewable sources.
