Summary: The antioxidant activity and phenolic content of different parts of artichoke were evaluated, and silver nanoparticles were prepared from phenolic fractions. The silver nanoparticles from artichoke flower exhibited potent cytotoxicity and apoptotic activity against prostate and lung cancer cells. These findings suggest that artichoke extract may serve as a promising source for anti-prostate cancer drugs.
