Knowledge-based three-dimensional dose prediction for tandem-and-ovoid brachytherapy

Katherina G. Cortes et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to develop a knowledge-based dose prediction system using a convolution neural network (CNN) for cervical brachytherapy treatments. The results showed that this knowledge-based dose prediction system can be used for treatment plan quality control and data-driven plan guidance.

Evaluation of dose-volume histogram prediction for organ-at risk and planning target volume based on machine learning

Sheng Xiu Jiao et al.

Summary: This study evaluates the performance of dosimetric information of individual fields with uniform-intensity radiation for DVH prediction, extending to PTV DVH prediction. Results indicated that the IDVHs method is comparable to the DTH+CPDVH method in accurately predicting OAR DVH, and showed reliable PTV DVH prediction.

Support Vector Machine Model Predicts Dose for Organs at Risk in High-Dose Rate Brachytherapy of Cervical Cancer

Ping Zhou et al.

Summary: This study established a support vector machine (SVM) model to predict the dose for organs at risk (OARs) in brachytherapy planning for cervical cancer. The model showed good performance in training and validation groups, effectively predicting D (2cm3) for the bladder, rectum, sigmoid colon, and small intestine. The results demonstrate the accuracy and validity of the SVM model in predicting OAR doses for cervical cancer brachytherapy.
