A prospective comparison study of early functional outcomes after implant-based breast reconstruction: subpectoral versus prepectoral technique

Summary: This study compared the functional recovery and quality of life between subpectoral and prepectoral techniques in direct-to-implant breast reconstruction. The results showed that the prepectoral technique exhibited favorable recovery of pain intensity and disability of the upper arm at the early post-operation phase. Both groups functionally recovered at 6 months post-operation.
