SARcopenia Assessment in Hypertension The SARAH Study

Summary: The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between sarcopenia and renin-angiotensin system-related disorders and explore the effects of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor blockers on muscle mass/function and physical performance. The results showed a strong association between hypertension and sarcopenia, and different antihypertensive drugs had different effects on muscle mass and function.
