Retrospective analysis and risk of progression of partial anterior cruciate ligament injuries in a young population

S. K. Rai et al.

Summary: This study investigated the incidence and risk factors for the progression of conservatively treated partial ACL tears to complete tears. The results showed that 47.3% of patients progressed to a complete tear. Risk factors for progression included age younger than 35, rigorous physical activities, high ACL-Return to Sport after Injury score during early rehabilitation, early return to activity, and pivoting contact sports.

Anterior cruciate ligament injury patterns and their relationship to fatigue and physical fitness levels - a cross-sectional study

Saud F. Alsubaie et al.

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between types of ACL tear, side of injury, and associated risk factors, finding that higher levels of fatigue may be associated with partial ACL tears and reduction in the risk factor for complete ACL tears.
