Quantitative cost comparison of on-premise and cloud infrastructure based EEG data processing

Zoltan Juhasz

Summary: This paper investigates the costs of on-premises and cloud execution of high-density, high-sampling rate EEG measurements, comparing their total costs of ownership through an analytical cost model. The analysis showed that cloud-based EEG data processing is more economical when computational and storage requirements are relatively low, especially when expensive clusters are used locally.

Bridge monitoring using multi-GNSS observations with high cutoff elevations: A case study

Ruijie Xi et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that integrated GPS/BDS/GLONASS provides the highest precision in bridge monitoring, especially with high cutoff elevations due to the availability of more satellites and strongest satellite geometry. Further experiments conducted show that incorporating GPS/BDS/GLONASS at a cutoff elevation of 40 degrees allows for extremely accurate extraction of displacement and vibration signals in bridge monitoring applications.
