Nurse preferences of caring robots: A conjoint experiment to explore most valued robot features

Miklos Zrinyi et al.

Summary: This study investigated nurses' preferences for robot characteristics. The results showed that nurses prioritized robot learning ability, followed by behavior, appearance, operating safety, and communication. Their most preferred combination of robot features was one that only responds to commands, looks like a machine, never misses targets, runs programs only and behaves in a friendly manner.

Friendly or competent? The effects of perception of robot appearance and service context on usage intention

Xing (Stella) Liu et al.

Summary: The study reveals that customers/tourists' willingness to use service robots is influenced by the perception of robot appearance and service context. A warm appearance is preferred in hedonic service contexts, while a competent appearance is preferred in utilitarian service contexts, driven mainly by trust.

Research on Color Matching Method of Intelligent Tunneling Robot in Coalmines Based on Discrete Theory

Li-Shan Zhao et al.

Summary: This work aims to reduce the dependence of traditional construction machinery design on designers and improve the efficiency of construction machinery modeling and color matching design. The discrete theory-based analysis and design method is applied in construction machinery design to realize the concordance of appearance and color matching. By combining solid geometry, design psychology, and psychological theory, the appearance and color matching are analyzed from different perspectives, providing a systematic design framework and method for appearance modeling and color matching in construction machinery design.
