Non-Oscillatory Connectivity Approach for Classification of Autism Spectrum Disorder Subtypes Using Resting-State fMRI

Alishba Sadiq et al.

Summary: Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) is an effective tool for measuring brain connectivity and can differentiate subtypes of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) from normal controls (NC). This study proposes a non-oscillatory brain connectivity method to classify ASD subtypes using rs-fMRI data. The results demonstrate high accuracy and performance of this method in differentiating ASD subtypes from NC.

Classification of cardiac arrhythmia using a convolutional neural network and bi-directional long short-term memory

Shahab Ul Hassan et al.

Summary: Cardiac arrhythmia is a major cause of cardiovascular disease globally, leading to high fatality rates. Timely diagnosis using electrocardiogram signals can reduce the risk of strokes. This study proposes a novel deep learning model for arrhythmia classification, achieving high accuracies. The model was trained, validated, and tested on different datasets and compared with existing models.

Identifying individuals with autism spectrum disorder based on the principal components of whole-brain phase synchrony

Xueke Ma et al.

Summary: This study established intelligent discriminative models for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on phase synchrony (PS), outperforming previous static functional connectivity (FC) models. Through Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Support Vector Machines (SVM), embedded functional biomarkers were discovered, and significant correlations were found between PCA-PS features and the clinical severity of ASD.
