Towards the web of quantum chaos diagnostics

Arpan Bhattacharyya et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the connections between three diagnostics for quantum chaos, namely the out-of-time-order correlator (OTOC), Loschmidt echo (LE), and complexity. The authors generalize and extend the connection between OTOC and LE in infinite dimensions, and propose novel applications. They also examine the relationship between a specific circuit complexity and LE using the inverted oscillator model, and make a conjecture about their connection.

Beating the Lyth Bound by Parametric Resonance during Inflation

Yi-Fu Cai et al.

Summary: The proposed mechanism enhances primordial gravitational waves without affecting curvature perturbations during inflation, providing a new perspective for detectable inflationary tensor modes with low-scale inflation. This mechanism can be tested with upcoming cosmic microwave background B-mode observations.

Sound Speed Resonance of the Stochastic Gravitational-Wave Background

Yi-Fu Cai et al.

Summary: A novel mechanism is proposed to test the time variation of gravitational-wave propagation speed based on gravitational wave astronomy. The mechanism suggests that testing the variation of gravitational wave speed can provide potential evidence for new physics beyond general relativity. This mechanism involves studying the energy spectrum of gravitational waves to detect the features of varying gravitational wave speeds.

Spacetime as a quantum circuit

A. Ramesh Chandra et al.

Summary: The proposed finite cutoff regions of holographic spacetimes represent quantum circuits mapping between boundary states at different times, with complexity determined by gravitational action and minimized by optimal circuits. Surfaces of constant scalar curvature play a special role in optimizing quantum circuits. The proposed connection to kinematic space and discussion of possible circuit representations of gravitational action provide further insights.

Non-minimally coupled curvaton

Lei-Hua Liu et al.

Summary: This study investigates scalar cosmological perturbations generated through nonminimal coupling in two-field inflationary models with a focus on curvaton scenarios. It shows that small, negative nonminimal couplings can contribute to a redder curvature spectrum, potentially saving some curvaton scenarios that would otherwise be ruled out. The study also highlights the impact of nonminimal coupling on the postinflationary growth of the spectator perturbation and the effectiveness of the curvaton mechanism.

Circuit Complexity from Cosmological Islands

Sayantan Choudhury et al.

Summary: This paper studies cosmological circuit complexity in the presence or absence of quantum extremal islands in negative or positive cosmological constants. It concludes the non-universality of these measures in different parameter space, suggesting their dependence on the parameters of the model under consideration.

Quantum aspects of chaos and complexity from bouncing cosmology

Parth Bhargava et al.

Summary: This paper explores the out-of-equilibrium aspects and quantum chaos in the universe using circuit complexity and Out-of-Time Ordered correlation functions. By studying two bouncing cosmological solutions and utilizing the two-mode squeezed state formalism, estimates on the chaos features and equilibrium temperature of the universe are obtained.
