Multifunctional Eco-Friendly Synthesis of ZnO Nanoparticles in Biomedical Applications

Summary: This work describes the environmentally friendly synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles using aqueous oat extract. The synthesized nanoparticles exhibited excellent antibacterial and antioxidant activity, making them promising for biomedical applications. Spectroscopic and microscopic investigations confirmed the formation of nanoscale zinc oxide particles with an average size of 100 nm. The nanoparticles showed significant inhibitory effects against various bacterial strains and demonstrated strong antioxidant activity. Additionally, zinc oxide nanoparticles exhibited efficient photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B dye under UV irradiation.
