S. Goswami et al.

Summary: This article reports exchange bias (EB) and memory effect in nanocrystalline CoCr2O4, with results showing that these effects are caused by inherent magnetic inhomogeneity rather than surface effects.

Crossover From Individual to Collective Magnetism in Dense Nanoparticle Systems: Local Anisotropy Versus Dipolar Interactions

Elena H. Sanchez et al.

Summary: Dense systems of magnetic nanoparticles can exhibit collective behavior, and it remains unclear whether the transition temperature is influenced by particle anisotropy or determined by interparticle dipolar interactions. Additionally, the minimum ratio of dipole-dipole interaction to nanoparticle anisotropy energies necessary for the crossover from individual to collective behavior is unknown. This study investigates particle assemblies with varying anisotropy and finds a threshold value to suppress collective behavior. The findings have practical applications in predicting the behavior of interacting particle assemblies.

Interplay between inter- and intraparticle interactions in bi-magnetic core/shell nanoparticles

A. Omelyanchik et al.

Summary: By designing nanoparticle systems with core/shell morphology, magnetic anisotropy was successfully modulated, leading to adjustments in magnetic dipolar interactions between particles. Both nanoparticle systems exhibit high saturation magnetisation and display superparamagnetic behavior at room temperature, with strong exchange coupling observed at the core/shell interface.

Effect of spin glass frustration on exchange bias in NiMn/CoFeB bilayers

Sagarika Nayak et al.

Summary: The study focused on the impact of spin glass frustration on magnetic properties in the NiMn/CoFeB exchange bias system, revealing a decrease in exchange bias field with cooling field while coercive field remained relatively unaffected. Training effect measurements were conducted to study the spin relaxation mechanism, showing the presence of rotatable and frozen spin relaxation phenomena. Additionally, peak temperature shifting towards higher temperatures with frequency indicated a spin glass-like state in the bilayer system, as described by the Vogel-Fulcher law.
