A comprehensive entropic scrutiny of dissipative flows over a thin needle featured by variable thermophysical properties

Muhammad Idrees Afridi et al.

Summary: This study numerically examines the transfer of heat and entropy over a thin needle surface in an incompressible fluid. It explores the effects of frictional heating by including the dissipation function in the energy equation. The thermophysical characteristics of the fluid are assumed to be dependent on temperature, and the numerical solutions are computed using the differential quadrature method (DQM) and verified using the routine bvp4c.

Magnetohydrodynamic Fluid Flow due to an Unsteady Stretching Sheet with Thermal Radiation, Porous Medium, and Variable Heat Flux

Ahmed M. Megahed et al.

Summary: A shooting method is introduced for determining the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations describing the Newtonian magnetohydrodynamic laminar fluid flow with unsteady stretching sheet, thermal radiation, variable heat flux, viscosity, and conductivity. The study includes parameters such as unsteadiness, porous, viscosity, magnetic number, radiation, and conductivity. The proposed model is found to be superior for industrial fluid compared to existing models.

Radiation absorption on MHD convective flow of nanofluids through vertically travelling absorbent plate

M. Veera Krishna et al.

Summary: This study investigates the unsteady MHD boundary layer flow over a moving vertical porous surface with nanofluids, considering a uniform transverse magnetic field and heat radiation absorption effects. By solving the governing equations using the Laplace transform method, the velocity and temperature distributions are analyzed for different nanofluid compositions. Results show that an increase in volume fraction of nanoparticles leads to higher temperatures on the central line of the flow, with implications for aerospace engineering and industrial applications.

Radiative MHD flow of Casson hybrid nanofluid over an infinite exponentially accelerated vertical porous surface

M. Veera Krishna et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the radiative unsteady magnetohydrodynamic flow of an incompressible viscous electrically conducting non-Newtonian Casson hybrid nanofluid over an infinite exponentially accelerated vertical moving porous surface in a rotating frame, considering the influence of slip velocity. Results show that the flow velocity increases with an increase in thermal and concentration buoyancy forces, while rotation and slip parameters have opposite effects on it.

Exact solutions of Stokes' second problem for hybrid nanofluid flow with a heat source

Nepal Chandra Roy et al.

Summary: In this study, Stokes' second problem for Cu-Al2O3/water hybrid nanofluid is considered, and the effects of buoyancy force and a heat source are examined. Exact solutions are obtained using Laplace transforms, showing excellent agreement with numerical solutions and available exact solutions. The increase in volume fractions of copper and alumina nanoparticles and heat source parameter strongly affects temperature, skin friction coefficient, and local Nusselt number, while the mixed convection parameter noticeably enhances flow velocity.
