Thermoelectric figure of merit enhancement in dissipative superlattice structures

Pankaj Priyadarshi et al.

Summary: By investigating the thermoelectric (TE) performance across dissipative superlattice (SL) configurations, an enhanced figure of merit zT in multi-barrier device designs is achieved in the linear regime of operation. The inclusion of momentum relaxation processes results in a maximum zT value of 18 and decreased electronic thermal conductance. Despite a reduction in thermal conduction as the length of the SL increases, the power factor shows an overall degradation.
