Vacua of ω-deformed SO(8) supergravity

David Berman et al.

Summary: This paper provides a detailed analysis of the vacua of omega-deformed SO(8) supergravity in four dimensions. By using numerical methods based on Tensorflow, the equilibria of the theory are tracked as the electric-magnetic deformation parameter omega varies. The study reveals a new gauging and its known uplift in IIB supergravity, and demonstrates the generic procedure employed to obtain guaranteed equilibrium and potential novel upliftable solutions through omega-deformation.

Old and new vacua of 5D maximal supergravity

G. Dall'Agata et al.

Summary: In 5-dimensional maximally supersymmetric gauged supergravity, critical points with U(2) residual symmetry were identified through varying the embedding tensor instead of directly minimizing the scalar potential. Four new vacua with different gauge groups and cosmological constants were discovered, in addition to recovering all previously known vacua. The first example of a maximal supergravity model in D >= 4 having critical points with both positive and vanishing cosmological constant was provided, with the full mass spectrum computed for each vacuum.
