Exploring the holographic Swampland

Joseph P. Conlon et al.

Summary: This study extends the research on holographic aspects of moduli stabilisation scenarios to both fibred versions of LVS and the type IIA DGKT flux vacua. The holographic properties of the low-energy moduli Lagrangian that describes different vacuum situations are examined. For type IIA vacua in the large-volume regime, the CFT data has a universal form independent of flux choices, and the conformal dimensions of the dual operators are also all integers. The fibred models also allow for cases of mixed double-trace operators with positive anomalous dimension, which is different from previous findings.

Comments on classical AdS flux vacua with scale separation

Fien Apers et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flux compactifications of massive IIA supergravity with O6 planes, examining the properties of AdS(3) and AdS(4) vacua and the potential dual CFT(2) and CFT(3) theories. Results show stability of AdS(3) vacua and the absence of integer dimensions for operators in the putative CFT2 dual theories.

Integer conformal dimensions for type IIa flux vacua

Fien Apers et al.

Summary: We provide a concise argument that supersymmetric anti-de Sitter type IIA DeWolfe-Giryavets-Kachru-Taylor flux vacua on general Calabi-Yau's have, when interpreted holographically, integer conformal dimensions for low-lying scalar primaries in the dual conformal field theory. These integers are independent of any compactification details.

A CFT distance conjecture

Ericl Perlmutter et al.

Summary: This article formulates conjectures regarding the relationship between the geometry of conformal manifolds and the spectrum of local operators in conformal field theories in dimensions higher than 2. The central conjecture is that theories at infinite distance possess an emergent higher-spin symmetry with anomalous dimensions vanishing exponentially. In the holographic context, these conjectures are related to the Distance Conjecture in the swampland program and have implications for the behavior of higher-spin fields in moduli space.

Symmetries in Quantum Field Theory and Quantum Gravity

Daniel Harlow et al.

Summary: This paper refines and establishes a set of old conjectures about symmetries in quantum gravity using the AdS/CFT correspondence. It shows the absence of bulk global symmetries in AdS/CFT and discusses how long-range bulk gauge symmetries lead to global boundary symmetries. The results are extended to higher-form symmetries and the weak gravity conjecture is applied to more general gauge groups.

Tackling the SDC in AdS with CFTs

Florent Baume et al.

Summary: The study explores the Swampland Distance Conjecture for supersymmetric theories with AdS(5) backgrounds and fixed radius through their N = 2 SCFT holographic duals, focusing on the existence of exponentially massless higher-spin fields and their decay rate determined by conformal data. The origin of this phenomenon in the gravity side is discussed, particularly in the context of type IIB compactification on S-5 and its orbifolds, as well as more general scenarios.
