Summary: Indoor contaminants causing health concerns are reported in this study for the first time in households in Zagreb, Croatia, with focus on PBDE and trace elements levels. Factors such as renovation, electronic device usage, house age, and area are identified as significant predictors for PBDE and trace element concentrations. Health risk assessment indicates no adverse effects for toddlers and adults exposed to PBDE or trace elements in house dust, but there is a potential risk for adverse effects related to cobalt under worst case exposure scenarios.

Effect of chitosan/lignosulfonate microencapsulated red phosphorus on fire performance of epoxy resin
