Mind-Body Interventions as Alternative and Complementary Therapies for Psoriasis: A Systematic Review of the English Literature

Teodora Larisa Timis et al.

Summary: Complementary and alternative medicine, such as acupuncture, psychotherapy, and climatotherapy, may offer cheaper and potentially beneficial outcomes for psoriasis patients compared to conventional methods. Stress management therapies like psychotherapy, hypnosis, and meditation have shown promising results, while climatotherapy and balneotherapy have already proven effective in improving clinical outcomes of psoriasis. Further research is needed to confirm the efficacy of lesser studied treatment methods.
