Summary: This study evaluated the safety of CSP for small SNADETs and found that CSP can be safely performed for small SNADETs. Among 21 patients, no adverse events were observed intraoperatively, with only one recurrence detected during follow-up.

Endoscopic Suturing for the Prevention and Treatment of Complications Associated with Endoscopic Mucosal Resection of Large Duodenal Adenomas

Jaeil Chung et al.

Summary: This study aimed to demonstrate the feasibility, safety, and effectiveness of endoscopic suturing (ES) for the closure of mucosal defects after endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) of duodenal adenomas. ES was found to be technically successful in all cases and no complications such as bleeding or duodenal stricture were encountered. ES should be considered as an option for preventing or treating perforations associated with EMR of large duodenal adenomas.

Summary: Background data on endoscopic resection for superficial duodenal epithelial tumors are limited due to their rarity. Different techniques such as EMR and ESD have varying success rates and complications. ESD may be a good option for large SDETs, especially when performed by experienced endoscopists.
