Intertube Excitonic Coupling in Nanotube Van der Waals Heterostructures

Maria G. Burdanova et al.

Summary: Strong intertube excitonic coupling is demonstrated in 1D van der Waals heterostructures through the interaction of dipole-dipole Coulomb interactions and light-matter interactions. This leads to the creation of intertube biexcitons on short timescales and intertube excitons on longer timescales, which opens up new possibilities for multi-functional applications of these new nanoscale coaxial cables.

Customizable Stretchable Transparent Electrodes Based on AgNW/CNT Hybrids via Tailoring Sizes of Building Blocks

Yangyang Wang et al.

Summary: The structure-performance correlations of stretchable transparent electrodes (STEs) formed by a hybrid percolative network of silver nanowires (AgNWs) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were investigated. It was found that smaller diameters of AgNWs and CNTs contribute to higher transmittance and lower haze of the hybrid electrodes, while AgNWs with larger length-to-diameter ratios can reduce sheet resistance by adding a suitable amount of CNTs. The smaller differences in diameters of AgNWs and CNTs lead to more effective capillary-force-induced welding, boosting the conductivity and stretchability of STEs.

Highly transparent, low sheet resistance and stable Tannic acid modified-SWCNT/AgNW double-layer conductive network for organic light emitting diodes

Ze-Ru Zhu et al.

Summary: This paper presents a new type of transparent conductive film (TCF) with a double-layered conductive network structure, using tannic acid functionalized carbon nanotubes (TCNTs) and silver nanowires (AgNWs). The hybrid film exhibits excellent light transmittance, high electrical conductivity, ultra-flexibility, and strong adhesion, with improved performance through post-treatment processes. The hybrid film shows stability in conductivity and transmittance after bending, tape testing, exposure to high temperature and humidity, indicating great potential for application in photovoltaic devices.
