Non-Gaussian normal diffusion in low dimensional systems

Summary: NGND is a non-Gaussian normal diffusion phenomenon exhibited by Brownian particles in complex environments, possibly due to environmental fluctuations and related to the time modulation of instantaneous diffusivity. The characteristics of NGND are manifested in time-dependent transient displacement distributions, closely related to the microscopic dynamics of diffusing particles.
