Unconventional bi-vacancies activating inert Prussian blue analogues nanocubes for efficient hydrogen evolution

Summary: The introduction of unconventional anion and cation bivacancies has been shown to enhance the hydrogen evolution reaction catalytic activity of CoFe-PBA through a rapid tannic acid etching strategy. The resultant TA-etched CoFe-PBA nanocubes exhibit outstanding HER catalytic activity with an overpotential of only 86 mV at 10 mA cm-2, comparable to commercial Pt/C catalyst.

Ion-exchange surface modification enhances cycling stability and kinetics of sodium manganese hexacyanoferrate cathode in sodium-ion batteries

Summary: By introducing a chemically less soluble and structurally more stable layer to the surface of NaMnHCF through a simple ion-exchange method, the irreversible structural changes and side reactions associated with the cathode in cycling process can be mitigated. The NaMnHCF cathode treated in Cu2+ solution exhibits much better cycling stability and rate performance than the unmodified NaMnHCF, demonstrating the great potential of this low-cost chemical ion-exchange technology for surface modification of high-performance NIB cathodes.
