Bismuth oxybromide/bismuth oxyiodide nanojunctions decorated on flexible carbon fiber cloth as easily recyclable photocatalyst for removing various pollutants from wastewater

Summary: A recyclable photocatalyst, consisting of BiOBr/BiOI nanojunctions on a flexible carbon fiber cloth substrate, was developed for efficient degradation of pollutants in wastewater under visible-light illumination. This recyclable catalyst holds great potential for wastewater purification.

Stacking Engineering of Semiconductor Heterojunctions on Hollow Carbon Spheres for Boosting Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

In this study, a stacking design of semiconductor heterojunctions on hollow carbon spheres is reported, which significantly improves the photocatalytic activity in CO2-to-CO conversion. The design utilizes the advantages of hollow carbon, such as improved light harvesting, promoted charge separation, increased CO2 adsorption, and protected CdS from photocorrosion. The design can be extended to other semiconductor heterojunctions.

Modulation of Z-Scheme Heterojunction Interface between Ultrathin C3N5 Nanosheets and Metal-Organic Framework for Boosting Photocatalysis

Construction of Bi2WO6 composites with carbon-coated Cu2O for effective degradation of tetracycline

First-Principles Evaluation of Volatile Organic Compounds Degradation in Z-Scheme Photocatalytic Systems: MXene and Graphitic-CN Heterostructures

L-Cysteine directing synthesis of BiOBr nanosheets for efficient cefazolin photodegradation: The pivotal role of thiol

Proper photocatalyst dosage, relatively acidic water environment, and high temperature were beneficial to CFZ photodegradation by BiOBr, and the CFZ photodegradation mechanism and degradation pathway were proposed.
