Pan-Lysyl Oxidase Inhibitor PXS-5505 Ameliorates Multiple-Organ Fibrosis by Inhibiting Collagen Crosslinks in Rodent Models of Systemic Sclerosis

Yimin Yao et al.

Summary: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a disease characterized by progressive multiple organ fibrosis. Lysyl oxidases, crucial for collagen cross-linking and fibrosis buildup, can be inhibited for SSc treatment. PXS-5505, a novel small molecule pan-lysyl oxidase inhibitor, showed anti-fibrotic effects in rodent models of SSc, suggesting its potential as a novel approach for treating SSc.
