Phase dependence of resonant and antiresonant two-photon excitations

L. Drescher et al.

Summary: Measurements of the phase of two-photon matrix elements were conducted for resonant and antiresonant two-color ionization of helium. The results show significant changes in the phase of the two-photon matrix elements around the resonances and at the antiresonances between the resonances.

Influence of shape resonances on the angular dependence of molecular photoionization delays

F. Holzmeier et al.

Summary: This study characterizes time delays in molecular photoionization as a function of the ejected electron emission direction relative to the orientation of the molecule and the light polarization axis. By comparing resonance computed in e-NO+ scattering, it highlights the connection of photoionization delays with Wigner scattering time delays, providing insights into the attosecond dynamics induced by extreme ultraviolet or X-ray one-photon absorption.

Measuring the photoelectron emission delay in the molecular frame

Jonas Rist et al.

Summary: The study presents a novel approach to measure electron emission delays without the need for attosecond light pulses or superimposed infrared laser fields. By extracting emission delays from interference patterns in CO molecule, the researchers found that emission times are dependent on emission directions and shape resonance of the molecule. This method provides insight into measuring photoionization time delays and represents an interesting and challenging topic in experimental physics.

Revealing the Target Electronic Structure with Under-Threshold RABBITT

Anatoli Kheifets

Summary: The RABBITT process can reveal the electronic structure of the target atom, mapping the discrete energy levels and corresponding oscillator strengths. This sensitivity is demonstrated by considering the Ne atom driven by a combination of XUV and IR pulses at different wavelengths.
