Intracystic hyperreflective material in centre-involving diabetic macular oedema

Ramesh Venkatesh et al.

Summary: In this study, the presence of ICHRM in CI-DME patients was associated with poor final visual acuity. Disruption of inner and outer retinal layers was also related to visual outcomes. Patients in the ICHRM group required more injections for macular oedema resolution.

Hyperreflective foci in predicting the treatment outcomes of diabetic macular oedema after anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy

Chu-Hsuan Huang et al.

Summary: In patients with diabetic macular oedema, the number of hyperreflective foci (HRF) in the outer retina can be used to predict treatment response after anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) therapy. Factors such as poor baseline vision, absence of epiretinal membrane, and presence of subretinal fluid also influence visual acuity improvement.
